What does Option Way’s cancellation insurance cover?

Our insurance includes the essential cover you need to deal with any unforeseen circumstances. The option to buy this insurance is only possible at the point of booking.

  • Cancel your flight for any justified reason 
  • Cancel any time up to 24 hours* before departure
  • Compensation if passenger cannot leave due to a positive Covid-19 test** or fever at the boarding gate
  • Compensation for lost or stolen luggage

The Aréas and PRESENCE ASSISTANCE insurance offered above is valid for any trip up to a maximum of 3 months (to extend this period, contact us). 
Important: both types of insurance exclude flights taken against the advice of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Please make the necessary enquiries beforehand.  
The insurances do not cover circumstances where it is not possible to complete the travel (due to movement restrictions from the departure, transit and/or destination country or due to a carrier failure). 
**The PCR test will be only valid if prescribed by a doctor to verify existing symptoms or required by the destination country's health authorities or the airline.
